There is a full fledged industry standard Workshop with different sections e.g. smithy, welding, forging, fitting, turning, carpentry and a machine shop. All theses sections are very well equipped with conventional and latest tools & machineries.

The college has a spacious canteen and a soft-drink parlor within the campus. The canteen provides good quality nutritious food through out the year.

SMIT provides 100% hostel facilities for both boys & girls will all the amenities such as color TV, Fridge, Aqua guard, Telephone, Indoor games, Transport, medical, Canteen and Computer with internet facilities. A three storied building for boys inside the campus and two girls hostel at Berhampur.

Within the premises of SMIT, State Bank of India (SBI) has a branch of its own with E-banking facility to cater the financial requirement of students.

SMIT has constituted a sports cell with the aid and advice of qualified and experienced coach & sportsman, which through various outdoor and indoor games keeps the students physically and mentally alert. The campus consists of 12 deep bore well for 24Hours supply of water to the college building and hostel. Also we provide purified drinking water through water purifier and cooler to the day scholars and the hostel boarders.

A well stocked library with more than twenty two thousand latest reference titles on technical and management related subjects as well as professional journals, both national and international help the students & teachers to keep abreast of the worldwide advancement.
